Although they were sad
they smiled as if none
smiled as if the pain had not begun
and though the tears were sad
they never let on
pretended to be strong
all the world's weight upon
their shoulders
trying to keep them down
with their boulders
and all the world's weight
just kept them down
but they never showed their pain
suffered without a sound
they cried because they were sad
and smiled cause it was done
the minutes now begun
they know they'd always be sad
from it they had to run
tears dried up by the sun
